Announcing New ACH and Credit Card Payment Processor for City of Garland Utilities

The City of Garland is pleased to announce a new partnership with Fiserv, a global leader in payment processing. This new arrangement will impact utility payments processed by phone or through the utility MyMeter web portal. Fiserv will provide payment processing services for Garland utility customers via the Fiserv BillMatrix platform. This collaboration will lower card or ACH (electronic check) processing fees for residential customers and ultimately provide an over-the-counter card payment option in the near future. Customers will no longer make card or ACH payments on the Speedpay website once the Fiserv site is activated.

Utility customers currently registered with MyMeter will not be required to create a new account. A new digital wallet on the Fiserv BillMatrix site will need to be created by customers choosing to save payment information. Customers who pay via the non-registered guest experience will continue to use their account number and identification code to access the Fiserv BillMatrix payment platform to make a payment.
