Ohio Energy Efficiency and On-site Energy Workshop

The Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy and Environment and U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DOE) Midwest Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) co-sponsored the Ohio Energy Efficiency and On-site Energy Workshop in Marietta, OH on June 18, 2024. The workshop featured a tour of DTE Vantage's Marietta 8 MW gas-fueled cogeneration plant that generates electricity and provides steam to Syensqo Marietta's industrial facility. Presentations and discussions included coverage of technical assistance, state and federal funding opportunities, case examples, and other resources to help Ohio and regional industries save energy and money, improve energy security and resilience, and support decarbonization objectives. The event included a presentation from the University of Dayton Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) In addition to those from the Ohio Department of Development, Midwest Onsite Energy TAP, and the DTE and Syensqo hosts.
