Dam Inspection at Millpond

The City of Valdosta's Engineering Department will temporarily lower Millpond's water surface elevation to conduct a critical dam inspection. This essential maintenance is necessary to ensure the continued safety and functionality of our community's infrastructure.

: Beginning August 14th, 2024
: The water level will be lowered temporarily during the inspection period.

Please be aware that the lower water level is only temporary. As soon as the inspection is complete, the pond will be restored to its normal elevation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain the safety of the dam structure and manual discharge system.
