Mayor Walsh Appoints Anthony Scerbo to Architect I

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced the appointment of Anthony Scerbo to Architect I in the Department of Parks & Recreation. In this role, Scerbo will be responsible for performing professional architectural work in the planning and design of City parks buildings and facilities.

Scerbo will work with various City departments to recommend and design improvements that align with ongoing park planning initiatives focusing on accessibility, functionality and sustainability.

Scerbo comes to the City of Syracuse from New York City with ten years of experience as a designer working in the architecture industry across residential, commercial and institutional fields. Prior to joining City government, Scerbo worked as an Architectural Job Captain at HLW International LLP, an Architectural Designer for Adamson Associates and a Design Associate for Napach Design Group. Two notable renovation projects Scerbo was part of include an All-Gender locker room at Pace University and Google's new 12-story headquarters at 550 Washington Street in Hudson Square.

Scerbo earned both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University.
