Evolution of Fueling Partner Success

Welcome to Cisco's new fiscal year! Heading into the fall season means cooler weather, pumpkins, favorite holidays, and, for me, football. I've always been a fan of the Washington Commanders, an American Football team in Washington DC. Although this team has seen a great evolution in its time, I'd like to share a fact I recently learned which impacts every football player no matter their expertise. It's the evolution of the helmet.

When Admiral Joseph Mason Reeve was told another hard hit to his head would lead to "instant insanity," he and a local shoemaker created the first helmet made of moleskin in 1893. As the years have gone on, not only has the helmet become more advanced in the technology it carries, but it's also better padded, more protective with face bar protectors, along with so many other improvements which help and protect each player.

A true evolution. We, in our multi-faced organizations, are responsible for how we stay relevant, innovative, and competitive. Like the helmet, we each have our own evolution where we can leave our mark.

Exploring the Evolution

As you might have already seen this quarter, we are committed to moving forward with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) movement that Cisco is prioritizing. A type of Evolution that is going to require each of us to leave a mark as we work together to stay relevant, innovative, and competitive.

A long-time acquaintance of mine, Pat Bodin, who is a Cisco Global AI Architect, not only led a session for our distributors, but also for a group of our partners. These sessions, which you can rewatch using the links above, are a good place to start in understanding the Cisco AI strategy, how you can begin monetizing with AI, and where to get started.

As you continue to explore more about Cisco's AI strategy, you'll see how we are connecting and protecting the AI era with our solutions. You will learn how Cisco has the infrastructure to power AI, how AI and Security will go hand in hand, how the Splunk acquisition will help each one of us use data to drive insights and context, how our software unlocks productivity and our services can accelerate the value of AI.
