Advice to residents following Huyton fire

Bin collections are operating as normal today.

The Household Waste Recycling Centre in Huyton is currently closed - we will provide an update about when it will reopen once we have this information.

Impact on Centre for Independent Living

The centre, on Brickfields, Huyton, is currently closed due to the close proximity to the fire. Staff are working from home or other locations temporarily. Anyone who needs assistance from the centre during this time should call 0151 351 8705, instead of calling in person.

Occupational therapy services, delivery of daily living aids and the Care and Repair (handy person service) are still operating, but there may be some delays - however as most services involve home visits, it is expected that the impact on customers should be minimal.
