CHICAGO, October 1, 2024- One in four women and one in seven men face relationship abuse during their lives. For nearly two decades, The Allstate Foundation has been empowering survivors through strategic grants, employee training, and dynamic partnerships with relationship abuse nonprofits nationwide. As the nation focuses attention during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Allstate Foundation proudly highlights initiatives and trusted partnerships designed to help more survivors live free from abuse:
"Allstate and The Allstate Foundation encourage everyone to learn signs of abuse, and how to support someone who you think may be in a crisis," said Sharisse Kimbro, The Allstate Foundation's relationship abuse program officer. "Together, with trust-based philanthropy practices and a vibrant network of advocates countrywide, we can continue to disrupt the cycle of relationship abuse."
If you're experiencing abuse, call The Hotline at 800-799-7233, Text BEGIN to 88788, or visit thehotline.org to start a chat or learn more.

The Allstate Foundation empowers people and communities so they can thrive through 3 program areas: Racial Equity, Youth Empowerment and Relationship Abuse - all supported by Allstate agents and employees in communities countrywide, plus equipping social impact leaders through the Foundation's Nonprofit Leadership Center. For nearly two decades, The Allstate Foundation has invested more than $100 million to disrupt the cycle and reduce the prevalence of relationship abuse. With our nonprofit partners, the Foundation empowers survivors with resources to reach financial security and safety, equips the DV sector for sustainability and supports narrative shift for culture change. To support healthy relationships for all, the Foundation invites men and youth into conversations around domestic violence to prevent abuse before it starts.
