Members of the Niagara University in Ontario (NUO) administration attended the 45th Annual Cardinal's Dinner on Nov. 5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Ontario.
The Rev. James Maher, C.M., Niagara University president; Dr. Stephanie Dimech, dean and campus principal; Dr. Evan Clarke, senior associate dean of Ontario graduate programs; Sooh Park, director of graduate recruitment and marketing; LeChelle Saunders, manager of student services & international student advising; Ninip Bathou and Lucy Jung, graduate admissions advisors / Canada recruiters; and Dr. Daniel Patterson, a member of Niagara University's Board of Trustees and Niagara College's fifth president (1995-2020); attended the event, which is Canada's largest annual dinner and includes representation from government, religious, and business leaders.
The dinner was founded by Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter, the late archbishop emeritus of Toronto, who believed business, political, and religious groups should join together in fellowship, sharing a mutual responsibility to strengthen the communities in which we work, live, and worship.
Niagara University, which has been offering programs in Ontario since 1984, strengthened its presence as a binational university serving the United States and Canada with its recent expansion of its campus in Vaughan. The 18,000 square-foot addition features state-of-the-art classrooms, additional spaces for collaboration, student lounge areas, and faculty offices.
NUO offers a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Education as well as Master's of Business Administration, M.S. Information Security and Digital Forensics, M.S. Finance, M.A. Criminal Justice Administration, M.A. Disaster/Emergency Management and National Security, and M.S. Educational Leadership graduate programs.
