Washington, DC - Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) Director Owen Herrnstadt traveled to California this week to discuss EXIM's clean and renewable energy initiatives at events featuring local business leaders, government officials and academics.

On Monday, Director Herrnstadt spoke on a panel for the Southern Cone Reverse Trade Mission for Initiative for Mitigating Pollution and Climate Threats (IMPACT) at the University of California Irvine and highlighted EXIM's clean and renewable energy initiatives, as well as a domestic finance initiative, Make More in America. He also spoke about EXIM's China and Transformational Exports Program (CTEP) during the panel on the U.S. transition to clean energy.

Director Herrnstadt also participated in a Business Roundtable at EV Passport in Santa Monica, and shared how EXIM is focusing on decarbonization by financing projects that are developing the technology of tomorrow, while supporting good-paying jobs in the U.S.

"The Make More in America Initiative is another key financing tool in EXIM's toolbox to support U.S. jobs and domestic supply chains by financing goods and services in critical export areas, including renewable energy, transportation and sustainable energy," said Director Herrnstadt.
