Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3000 Southwest Freeway

September 16, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash at 3000 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 2:45 a.m. on Saturday (September 14).

The deceased male is identified as Saul Rodriguez Jaimes, 27.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Hoang reported:

According to a witness, a male was walking in and out of moving lanes of traffic on the service road near the above address. The male was struck by a black sedan of unknown make or model. The sedan fled the scene and did not stop to render aid.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male, later identified as Mr. Jaimes, deceased.

At this time, there is no known suspect or vehicle description.
