Metro Council Gathers for 9/11 Remembrance

On Wednesday, September 11, Metro Council Members and Vice Mayor Angie Henderson will join the Veterans Caucus of the Metro Council for their annual 9/11 Remembrance, meeting first on the front steps of the Historic Courthouse and City Hall at 7:45 a.m. for a moment of silence and reflection. At 8:00 a.m., Council Members will walk together down 3rd Avenue to the corner of Symphony Place to attend the official 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony hosted by the IAFF Local 140 Firefighter's Union and the Metro Nashville Fire Department. The Vice Mayor will join the Mayor, Director Chief William Swann, and IAFF Local 140 Union President Danny Yates in laying a wreath at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial.
