UW Community Invited to Engage With Ombuds Candidates

University of Wyoming faculty, staff and students are invited to engage with candidates to become UW's next ombudsperson.

The ombudsperson plays a key role in achieving UW's strategic plan -- particularly Objective 3, "Provide a Supportive Community." The ombudsperson supports this objective by providing an informal setting in which members of the UW community can share dilemmas, ideas and questions without fear of exposure, retaliation or recrimination.

More information on the role of the ombudsperson can be found here.

On-campus interviews for the ombudsperson will take place Tuesday, Oct. 1, and faculty, staff and students are encouraged to engage with the candidates during campus partner sessions. Campus partners also are encouraged to complete a feedback form for each candidate by Thursday, Oct. 3.

Here is the schedule:

Candidate: Don Appiarius

Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9:15-10 a.m. in Room 321 of Old Main or via Zoom.

Candidate: Onye Riches

Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4-4:45 p.m. in Room 321 of Old Main or via Zoom.
