Newly upgraded Microsoft licensing - Effective July 1, 2024

Over the last few days, many Georgia College & State University faculty and staff received an email like the photo displayed with this message. These emails are legitimate and were inadvertently triggered as Information Technology staff were upgrading Microsoft licensing for employees. These new licenses will eventually be leveraged to make new services available to the campus community. For the time being, however, we ask that you simply ignore this email. We will communicate more clearly and intentionally as we roll out additional services.
The Information Technology team apologizes for any confusion or concern that may have arisen because of these emails. We are thankful for each of you who contacted the IT Help Desk or reported what appeared to be a suspicious communication to our Information Security Team. Your diligence and caution keeps us all safe.
