Get involved in your community! The City is currently accepting applications for the following City Committees: Financial Audit Oversight Committee and the Historical Committee.

The Financial Audit Oversight Committee Serves as an advisory body to the City Council, primarily overseeing internal audits. The responsibilities include issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified audit firms, interviewing candidates, negotiating costs, and recommending a firm for selection. The committee also helps set goals for the annual audit plan and submits written and verbal audit reports to the City Council. Additionally, it advises on administrative policies and procedures.

The Historical Committee serves as an advisory body to the City Council on historical structures and sites in Placentia. It also nominates buildings, sites, or districts for local landmark designation per Policy No. 703 and reviews items from the City Council, staff, or the public to recommend appropriate actions.
