Stanislaus County

Closures on State Routes 99, 132, 4, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 4 (SR-4), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

Full, long-term closures of the vending machine buildings at the northbound and southbound Enoch Christofferson Rest Areas for renovations. The project is expected to last through the fall of 2024.

Moving closures of the #3 (right) lanes of northbound and southbound SR-99 between the Enoch Christoffersen Rest Area and Beckwith Road for a striping operation beginning Wednesday, August 28, through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 4

One-way traffic control on SR-4 between Milton Road and Dunton Road for sign work on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

State Route 132

One-way traffic control from Crab Tree Road to two miles east for tree work on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Lane shifts between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman Road on SR-132 in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, August 26, through Friday, August 30, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Note: Construction is expected to continue through the fall of 2024.

Interstate 5

Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
