Housing is subject of Nov. 18-19 Wheeler Center conference in Bozeman

BOZEMAN - The Montana State University-based Burton K. Wheeler Center will host a conference Nov. 18-19 featuring diverse perspectives on Montana housing and ways of addressing housing unaffordability.

"The Montana Housing Crisis: Can Supply Meet Demand?" will be held in Inspiration Hall located in Norm Asbjornson Hall on the MSU campus.

The conference will kick off at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, with a keynote address by Missoula Mayor Andrea Davis, "Common-Sense Solutions: Perspective from the Frontlines of Montana's Housing Crisis." It will continue Tuesday, Nov. 19,from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and feature panel discussions, breakout sessions, a morning talk by Ben Horowitz from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and a lunch talk by Billings architect Randy Hafer.

Registration in advance is encouraged. Registration is $85 and can be made online at eventbrite.com/e/montanas-housing-crisis-summit-can-supply-meet-demand-tickets. MSU students with valid identification may attend the conference for free.
