Civil Rights Leader to Appear at Interfaith Service: Vigil for the Healing of the World at St. John the Divine

New York, NY (November 6, 2024) - Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), will address media in New York City for the first time since Donald Trump's re-election tonight outside the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in Manhattan. The civil rights leader will appear alongside a group of interfaith leaders ahead of the Vigil for the Healing of the World, following the 2024 election cycle.

"Many Americans are unsure of what to do next or how we move on after this election," said Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of NAN. "Our hope is to remind anyone scared, confused, or in need of guidance that in darkness there is light, in despair there is hope, and in doubt there is faith.
