Uniontown, PA - Washington County Maintenance Manager Susan Howard announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 5. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.

Bridge replacement:

  • Route 1061 (Mingo Church Road) in Nottingham Township.

Road closed. Posted detour:

  • Route 1061 (Mingo Church Road).
  • Route 1059 (Sugar Run Road).
  • Route 1006 (Venetia Road, Rankintown Road, Washington Avenue).
  • Route 88 (Washington Avenue, Brownsville Road, Finleyville Road).

Brushing and tree trimming:

  • Route 221 (Dunn Station Road) in Morris Township.
  • Route 2001 (South Main Street Extension) in Amwell Townships and the City of Washington.

Ditch/drain cleaning:

Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.

Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the county.
