On October 4, 2024, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit and the Wickford Barracks arrested Guo Jin Chen, age 69, of 20 Teakwood Court, East Greenwich, Rhode island, for the following: 1) Nine (9) counts of Casino Cheating - Place, Increase, Decrease, Cancel, Remove, or Attempt To, With Knowledge of Outcome; and 2) Four (4) counts of Conspiracy (Casino Cheating). Mr. Chen was processed at the Wickford Barracks and released on $5,000 personal recognizance after an appearance in front of a Bail Commissioner.

On October 4, 2024, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit and the Wickford Barracks arrested Lianjin Zheng, age 61, of 20 Teakwood Court, East Greenwich, Rhode island, for the following: 1) Eight (8) counts of Casino Cheating - Place, Increase, Decrease, Cancel, Remove, or Attempt To, With Knowledge of Outcome; and 2) Four (4) counts of Conspiracy (Casino Cheating). Ms. Zheng was processed at the Wickford Barracks and released on $5,000 personal recognizance after an appearance in front of a Bail Commissioner.

On October 4, 2024, members from the Special Victims and Major Crimes Units and the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Anthony H. Mello, age 19, of 161 Leonard Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, for three (3) counts of Child Molestation - First Degree. Mr. Mello was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions to await re-arraignment on Monday, October 7, 2024.

On October 4, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Melvin Hernandez, age 43, of 108 Summer Street, Apartment 2, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1-5 kilograms of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 3) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 4) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1-5 kilograms of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine. Mr. Hernandez was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and turned over to the ACI Intake Center pending his arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

On October 7, 2024, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Jordan Castro, age 25, of 97 Priscilla Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Castro was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Associate Judge Isherwood, who set bail at $5,000 personal recognizance with special conditions of restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
