Presidential search: WSU community invited to share hopes for next president

As the search for Washington State University's 12th president continues, local campus and WSU community members are invited to share their hopes for the next president during one of the upcoming listening sessions taking place across the system.

Input received during the faculty, staff, student, and community sessions will be incorporated into the presidential leadership profile that will be used to attract candidates to the role. Once complete, the profile document will reflect the voices of many WSU constituents in describing the context, expectations, challenges, and opportunities for the incoming president.

Beginning next week with the WSU Global and Vancouver campuses, the full schedule of listening sessions will continue through the third week of September. A final profile will be sent to the Board of Regents for approval at their next public meeting.

Each listening session will be attended by members of the presidential search advisory committee and representatives of the executive search firm, Isaacson, Miller.

Those unable to attend an in-personlistening session are encouraged to share their input via an anonymous online survey.

Questions about the search may be directed to [email protected].
