Announcing Our New 2024-2025 Grantees: Bridging the Data Divide

Splunk Social Impact is tackling the Data Divide-the gap between the growing use of data to drive commercial success and its limited application in addressing pressing social and environmental challenges. Bridging this divide is crucial to ensure that data is accessible and utilized equitably to address global issues like climate change, healthcare, and inequality.

By empowering nonprofits, research, and academic institutions with tools, funding, access to free Splunk product and training, and skilled volunteers, we are driving towards a future where data is accessible to all. This enables organizations to make more informed decisions and maximize their impact on the world's most pressing issues.

Since 2021, we've invested $4.76 million in unrestricted funding through strategic partnerships and impactful grants to address the root barriers contributing to the Data Divide in three key areas:

  • Field-Building: We support organizations advancing the field of data science for social good by improving access to open, secure data and equipping leaders with the tools to solve critical challenges.
  • Workforce Development: To close the global skills gap in the Data Age, we support nonprofits offering tech training and career opportunities to underserved communities.
  • Data to Action and Impact: We fund nonprofits leveraging data to tackle social and environmental problems, prioritizing solutions that are scalable and replicable.

Our partners exemplify our dedication to empowering high-impact organizations that leverage data and AI for good. By using cutting-edge technologies, they are addressing social and environmental challenges on a scalable level. Their work demonstrates the immense potential of data and AI to drive progress, create equity, and foster sustainable solutions for the next generation.

Together, we're building a future where data helps solve humanity's greatest challenges.

We are thrilled to continue our dedicated support for many of our Data Divide grantees and warmly welcome the newest additions below to our portfolio! These tech-forward, data-powered changemakers share our mission, values, and vision for turning data into a force for positive impact.
