The Original Rainbow Cone Opens in Flossmoor

Just in time for the summer holiday, Flossmoor's newest ice cream shop - The Original Rainbow Cone - opened for business on Wednesday, July 3! The lucky first 50 customers were treated to a free cone. In case you're not familiar with this classic Chicago treat, a Rainbow Cone is five layers of sliced ice cream: Orange Sherbet, Pistachio, Palmer House, Strawberry and Chocolate. Get yours - along with shakes, sundaes and specialty cakes - at 19805 S. Crawford Ave., right next to Buona. Hours are: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays, and from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays.
