Eni Mexico, UNESCO, and Tabasco Government deliver introductory hall at La Venta Park Museum

Eni Mexico, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the Government of the State of Tabasco have delivered and completed the new museography of the introductory hall at La Venta Park Museum.
Eni Mexico and UNESCO developed an innovative museography that combines interactive and audiovisual elements to explain the history of the Park Museum, the La Venta archaeological zone, the role of its founder, Carlos Pellicer, and the Olmec Culture, along with a module for people with hearing and visual disabilities. The intervention is part of the initiatives outlined in the MoU signed in 2023 to recover the aesthetic and historical values of the site and promote the Education for Sustainable Development.

Key actors from the public, private, academic, and social sectors participated in this initiative, which will enhance the educational, preservation, research, and dissemination functions of the Park Museum, benefiting around 160,000 local and tourist visitors, more than 1,000 schools, and over 230,000 students from the municipality of Centro.
Supporting the sustainable development of local communities is essential for Eni Mexico and UNESCO, and this strategic alliance is another step forward in their long-term commitment to the communities and the Government of Tabasco, while also contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
