Cincinnati
- Ever wondered what it feels like behind the wheel of a Metro bus? Now's your chance to give it a test-drive during Metro's upcoming Operator Career Fair Extravaganza on Saturday, August 3, at the Queensgate Garage (1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Metro is actively seeking individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have a desire to make a positive impact in the community. As an operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of Metro's passengers.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Metro representatives, apply, interview, and learn about the benefits of working with Metro. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to speak with current operators and gain valuable insights into the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, and even test-drive a Metro bus on a closed course on-site.

"We are excited to invite those interested in a career with Metro to join us at our Operator Career Fair," said Brandy Jones, Metro's Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. "This event is a great opportunity for individuals to learn more about the operator positions available and get a firsthand look at what it's like to work with Metro."

Metro bus operator pay begins at $20 per hour for trainees, increasing to $22.67 per hour immediately after training, with guaranteed pay increases every six months and opportunities to earn premium pay on high-demand routes. New operators are also eligible to earn a $2,000 hiring bonus.

Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits, and free transportation passes for spouses and dependents. Additionally, Metro provides free CDL training and reimbursement for CDL licensing fees ($5,000 benefit).
