SCDOT to close part of New Hope Road in Newberry County for drainage work

Columbia, S.C.(July 23, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close New Hope Road between Hughey Ferry Road (S-36-98) and Griffin Road (S-36-351) in Newberry County to repair and replace crossline drainage beginning July 30. The work is expected to last through August 1.

New Hope Road will be open to local traffic only during this closure. Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving near the work zone.
