In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Global Youth Institute, the World Food Prize Foundation has launched an Alumni Survey, inviting past participants of various programs to share their experiences in furthering the Foundation's mission of increasing the quality, quantity and availability of food for all.

Since 1994, over 125,000 young leaders have benefited from participating in Foundation programs, including Youth Institutes, the Global Youth Institute, Borlaug-Ruan International Internships and the Wallace-Carver Fellowship. Alumni are encouraged to fill out the survey for a chance for their story to be shared in the 30th Anniversary Alumni Impact Report, launching at the 2024 Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue.

Alumni who complete this 15-minute survey by July 22 will have the chance to win a $50 USD gift card.

This year, the Foundation is excited to welcome back all alumni to attend the 2024 Borlaug Dialogue, October 29-31 in Des Moines, Iowa. The theme "Seeds of Opportunity: Bridging Generations and Cultivating Diplomacy" echoes Dr. Norman Borlaug's enduring vision of breaking barriers and transcending boundaries for global food security, emphasizing the vital role of integrating past wisdom, current innovations and the pressing needs of tomorrow. This year's Borlaug Dialogue will directly uplift youth ideas, giving program alumni the chance to participate in meaningful discussions taking place and speak directly with notable agricultural leaders. This unique opportunity further emphasizes the Foundation's dedication to developing the next generation of hunger fighters through its youth programming.

Youth Program Alumni can attend the Borlaug Dialogue for a discounted rate of $350 and register for a 55% discount. University or high school students who are not already eligible for the Global Youth Institute can attend for $100.
