The Office of Multicultural Student Success has partnered with the Global Latin Student Union (GLSU) and Dining Services for the launch of Cultural Cuisine, an initiative aimed at celebrating and honoring the rich cultural diversity on campus.

This program will feature cuisine inspired by the history and heritage months being observed each month, starting with the Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs through Tuesday, Oct. 15.

The initiative recognizes that food plays a significant role in reflecting and preserving cultural identity, and OMSS is eager to incorporate this important aspect into the campus community. The campus community will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of Hispanic-inspired dishes at different stations throughout the event. The Homestyle Station, Grill Station, Dessert Station and Beverage Area will feature culturally inspired options that honor the Hispanic culture.

To kick off the first week of Hispanic Heritage Month, the campus community is invited to join the Cultural Cuisine event on Wednesday, Sept.18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ottawa East Dining. For those without a meal plan, the door rate is $11.75 for the buffet-style dinner.

OMSS will be raffling off meal vouchers leading up to the event. To participate and stay updated, follow OMSS on Instagram @omssutoledo.
