Gilmer Street closures planned for Friday

KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 26, 2024) - The City of Killeen Department of Engineering will be closing Gilmer Street from West Avenue C to Adams Avenue on Friday, Sept. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., as part of the Gilmer Street Reconstruction, to adjust the existing sewer connections.

The work includes the excavation, removal and installation of a new sewer line.

The contractor will have a traffic control plan in place and will detour traffic around the work area. Motorists should anticipate delays and are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
