Brown County Treatment Court to Hold Graduation Ceremony

PIERRE, S.D.- Treatment Court graduation is an important part in a participant's journey to building a life of responsibility and accountability. The Brown County Treatment Court team invites the public to join them in recognizing the accomplishments of participants successfully completing all five phases of the program.

Brown County Treatment Court will hold a graduation ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. CDT at the Brown County Community Room in the basement of the Brown County Courthouse, 25 Market St., Aberdeen. The graduates will speak about their journey to recovery, and others will also speak on their behalf. The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.

Brown County Treatment Court's mission is to provide public safety and reduce costs by providing a judicially-supervised program of intensive treatment and accountability for substance dependent participants, with the goal of transforming them into contributing members of our community. Brown County DUI Court was established in 2012, followed by Drug Court in 2015.
