Hurricane Debris Drop-off Sites Set to Close as of November 25

The City of Cape Coral's two hurricane debris drop-off sites are scheduled to close as of November 25.

The facility will be open Saturday and Sunday, November 23 & 24, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will accept C&D debris and vegetative waste from residents with ID (no commercial or contractor debris).

  • 1821 SW 42nd St (Entrance off SW 19th Ave)
  • 1119 NW 31st Ave (Entrance off NW 28th Pl)

Curbside Hurricane Milton debris pick-up continues and is anticipated to be complete by Thanksgiving, after which time residents are encouraged to place all waste curbside in accordance with Waste Pro's collection standards for horticulture and bulk-waste.

Resident Bulk Drop-off Site:

Located at 1200 Kismet Parkway, the Resident Bulk-waste Drop-off Site remains open Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., accepting bulk items, horticulture debris, and white goods.

  • Located on the west side of the North Cape Government Complex, the bulk-drop off-site entrance is off Northwest 14th Avenue, at the western portion of the complex.
  • Commercial businesses are prohibited from using the facility as this is a complementary service for residential use only. Proof of residency may be required to dispose of items.
  • Household chemical waste and recycling will not be accepted at the drop-off location.

Hazardous Waste

For Household Chemicals, paints, and liquids residents can bring them to the Household Waste Event at City Hall on May 8, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. or take them to Lee County Topaz Court Solid Waste Annex located at 6441 Topaz Court Fort Myers, FL 33966.
