Smoke From Distant Wildifires at Great Sand Dunes

Smoke from wildfires outside the state is currently affecting air quality and visibility in Colorado. According to the Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program, air quality at Great Sand Dunes and the San Luis Valley is 'Moderate'.

For Moderate Air Quality, the following advisories are in effect:

Everyone - Don't see or smell smoke? It's OK to open windows or go outdoors.

Unusually Sensitive people- Keep outdoor activities light and short; go indoors if you have symptoms.

Some areas farther east and north of the park are in listed in the unhealthy ranges.
