Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Celebrates 60 Million Downloads Since Launching in October 2024

The Popular Mobile Game Expands Digital Card Collection Offerings with New Mythical Island Expansion Featuring the Mythical Pokémon Mew, Available Soon

TOKYO, JAPAN - December 12, 2024 - Today, DeNA Co., Ltd., together with The Pokémon Company announced that the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app has exceeded 60 million downloads on iOS and Android devices since its global launch on Oct. 30, 2024. The milestone comes on the heels of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket being nominated for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards, which recognizes creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry.

In addition, DeNA and The Pokémon Company group will soon release a new expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, titled Mythical Island. In this latest expansion, players can look forward to discovering new and unique card illustrations featuring a variety of new Pokémon, including the Mythical Pokémon Mew, as well as new binder and display board covers depicting the scenery of the Mythical Island. Furthermore, with more cards available soon to collect, players can also explore new approaches to deck building and enjoy expanded battling experiences in solo or versus battle modes.

Mythical Island will be playable via the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app for iOS and Android beginning Dec. 17, 2024. Players around the world will be able to collect new cards from the Mythical Island expansion by opening booster packs and through the Wonder Pick feature. Fans can learn more about the Mythical Island expansion in a new trailer on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.

Developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc., the creators of the bestselling Pokémon TCG, and The Pokémon Company, partners in the development of Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a free-to-start app for iOS and Android that reimagines the experience of collecting Pokémon TCG cards in an innovative digital format.

Players can continue looking forward to future Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket updates, including a holiday countdown campaign beginning on Dec. 24, 2024, allowing Trainers to receive in-game gifts at no cost. Additional details will be shared in the future.
