BPD in the Community: District D-4 Celebrates World War II Veterans 97th Birthday

We are proud to celebrate a true American hero!

Officers from District D-4, along with our friends from the Boston Fire Department's Engine 22, stopped by to wish World War II Navy Veteran Joseph Alexander a Happy 97th Birthday!

We brought some sweets treats and a fitting one-of-a-kind gift to pay tribute to a Veteran who served our country in the U.S. Navy: a piece of trim wood from the main hatch of the USS Constitution.

Mr. Alexander's smile lit up the room as we shared stories and sincere birthday wishes. We are grateful for his service and so proud to be part of his big day.
