Public Input Session Planned for Emerson Park

July 5, 2024 - What does the future hold for Emerson Park? Parks and Recreation invites Midlanders to share their ideas as the Emerson Park Master Plan process begins.

Join City staff on Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at Emerson Park at Pavilion D for a public input session to share past memories of and future vision for this community asset. The session will include a brief presentation on the master planning process and its goals, an open forum for attendees to share input, and interactive activities to engage attendees while collecting feedback.

Residents unable to attend the input session on July 17 can share their ideas via an open topic on E-CityHall, the City's public engagement platform, at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/ecityhall. The topic is open now and will close for participation on Monday, July 22.

Public input collected will be used to develop a preliminary conceptual design of the park that will be shared at the August 7 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. Future developments realized through the Emerson Park Master Plan will be made incrementally over time as funding becomes available. No funding source has been established for developments at this time.
