ACTION! Orange County's Film Incentive Workgroup to Hold First Meeting

Orange County, FL - Orange County's Film Incentive Workgroup will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Orange County Administration Center in downtown Orlando.

The workgroup, established by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), is tasked with exploring the creation of a film incentive program. The group will evaluate opportunities and provide recommendations on staffing, annual operational costs, partnerships and potential incentive structures.

Six counties in Florida currently have film incentive programs to attract high-wage film and television productions. With this opportunity, Orange County aims to attract creative talent, promote local businesses, and showcase its unique assets.

Meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the BCC Chambers at the Orange County Administration Center in downtown Orlando. Dates include:

  • Tuesday, August 20, 2024
  • Wednesday, September 11, 2024
  • Tuesday, October 1, 2024
  • Wednesday, October 9, 2024
  • Tuesday, October 22, 2024

Meetings will be recorded for later viewing and will include public comment. The workgroup is expected to conclude and present its findings at the BCC meeting on October 29, 2024.
