The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago Announces Winners of the 2024 Scientific Soft Power Awards and Hosts Academic Gathering

On September 21st, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago, in collaboration with The Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. (OHESDC) organized a gathering for Thai professors and students in Chicago and nearby areas, along with the announcement of the results of the 2024 Scientific Soft Power Awards.

The winner of the first prize was Ms. Natechanok Yutthasaksunthorn, the project was "Enhancing Waste Management through Policy and Technology Transfer: A Strategic Linkage between the Midwest USA and Thailand". The first runner-up was Mr. Nat Promma, the project was "Transition to the Future: A Study of Michigan's Automotive Industry". The second runner-up was Mr. Thanasarn Changnawa, the project was "Thai Architecture on the Digital Virtual Verse Museum Platform for Enhancing Knowledge"

Additionally, there was a special lecture on the topic of "Establishing Correctness of Learning-Enabled Autonomous Systems" by Assistant Professor Dr. Tichakorn Wongpiromsarn, Department of Computer Science Iowa State University. There was also a lecture on the Thai Science Museum by Assistant Professor Dr. Rawin Rawiwong, President of National Science Museum (NSM)

The Royal Thai Consulate-General congratulates all award recipients and extends its thanks to the committee, professors, and students who participated in this event. The consulate will continue to provide updates to support collaboration and promote beneficial activities for the Thai community in the Midwest.
