Kuwait Fund honors high-achievers of (G40) engineers’ program

Number of trainees reached 1,000 since launch of the program

In presence of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development's Acting Director-General Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar, Deputy Acting Director-General Ms. Eman Al-Abdulrazzaq, and Deputy Acting Director-General Mr. Rasheed Al-Bader, the training administration at the Fund honored today high-achievers of (Group 40) in the Training Newly-Graduate Kuwaiti Engineers and Architects program after completing phase 1 of the program.

Al-Bahar affirmed, in his speech at the honors ceremony, that "the program's main objective is to enable the newly-gradate engineers gain necessary experience in their subject areas, and also, at the same token, attract the private sector towards them," adding that a large percentage of trainees went to work for the same institutions and companies, from whom they received their field trainings, and that is due to these bodies' knowledge of the expertise and capabilities those trainees obtained during their training period.

"Commitment to phase 2 of the program is so crucial in terms of attending, interacting, monitoring the bodies supervising the trainings, and referring to the training administration any note the trainees find helpful in improving performance of the program, in addition to the trainees' cooperation among each other, during this important stage, for everyone benefit", he stressed.

Al-Bahar also indicated the Fund launched the trainees' program in 2004 to contribute to helping newly-graduate engineers develop their skills, gain experience, and acquire practical knowledge necessary to meeting requirements of the job market, particularly the private sector, which play a vital role in development.

He also disclosed that Kuwait Fund is to announce registration for (Group 41) of the engineers' program next Sunday September 1st, and that those wishing to join the program can fill out the application via the Fund's website, adding the total number of trainees, since the launch of the program and until August 2024, is 1,000 males and females.

At the end of the ceremony, Al-Bahar handed honor certificates and memorial shields to high-achievers of the program's phase 1, praising their and their colleagues' efforts and wishing them further success and good luck in their endeavors.
