Fire Situation in the Country

Today, 19 fires have been reported across the country. According to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies in the National Civil Protection Agency, 8 of these outbreaks have been extinguished so far, while 11 fires remain active.
Operational forces are working to fully isolate the fires in Shebenik National Park in Librazhd municipality and to bring the fire under control in Poroçan village in Gramsh municipality. In Kus village on Mount Lugë in Tirana municipality, the fire is under control and does not pose a risk of spreading.
Firefighting forces and the Forestry Service are monitoring the fire in Bolën village in Himarë, where flames have erupted in an area of grass and pasture on Mount Çipini. In Shkalle village in Konispol municipality, the fire in the pasture is under control and poses no risk of spreading.
In Karroq village in Finiq, a fire outbreak in difficult terrain is being monitored by the Ministry of Education and Culture and currently poses no risk of spreading.
In Tërnovë village in Bulqizë municipality, several fires have reactivated in the "Cow Forest" since yesterday. Local fire and emergency services are working to control the situation.
In Karmë village in Vaun e Dejës, a fire has erupted in a dense forest where the difficult terrain makes it impossible to use firefighting equipment. Efforts from both the ground and the air are controlling the flames, which are being intensified by strong winds.
Engaged in the firefighting operations are 146 operational personnel and 5 firefighting vehicles, supported by 130 members of the Armed Forces and the Cougar helicopter.
