BakerHostetler Atlanta Team Convinces Georgia’s High Court to Leave PGA Tour Superstore Victory Undisturbed

An Atlanta team led by Partner Ron Gaither and including Associate Jarvarus Gresham defended Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc. d/b/a PGA TOUR Superstore in a high-value securities dispute with two early investors in the company, who sought to cash in on long expired warrants that would have entitled them to millions of dollars prior to their expiration. The Atlanta team simplified the matter and distilled it down to one narrow issue of contract interpretation. That strategy proved successful, and a Georgia trial court granted summary judgment in PGA TOUR Superstore's favor.

The Georgia Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court's grant of summary judgment and on December 10, 2024, the Georgia Supreme Court denied the Plaintiff-Petitioner's request for certiorari. Parent company AMB Sports & Entertainment's current General Counsel, Joe Pierce expressed his satisfaction and relief at the conclusion of the case.
