Esther’s Kitchen Moves To New Location

The 18b Las Vegas Arts District in downtown Las Vegas is home to one of the city's most popular restaurants, Esther's Kitchen.

Founded in 2018 by Las Vegas native and James Beard Award finalist chef James Trees, Esther's Kitchen, by 2023, became a difficult reservation to secure - even harder than many internationally-acclaimed restaurants on the Strip.

In 2022, Trees announced plans to move the restaurant from its original 58-seat location to a larger venue on the corner of Main Street and California Avenue - but still in the heart of the Arts District.

Officially opening on March 8, 2024, the new $7 million Esther's Kitchen boasts 11,000 square-feet - roughly five times larger than the original - comfortably seats 160 in the dining room and 27 in the standalone bar. And the new kitchen is twice the size of the old one.

Recently, Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman made a special presentation to Chef Trees in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the Las Vegas community, the growth of downtown Las Vegas and specifically the Arts District.
