State Police arrest Cambridge man for possessing two ghost guns

On July 31, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested Cian S. Nolan, 22, of Cambridge, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On July 18, 2024, at about 7:10 p.m., State Police of Greenwich responded to the reports of a vehicle off the roadway in the area of State Route 372 in Jackson, NY. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Nolan. Nolan was injured in the crash and transported to Saratoga Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The investigation discovered an illegally possessed loaded handgun and an illegal high-capacity magazine within the vehicle. Further examination determined the seized handgun was unserialized.

On July 31, 2024, at about 7:51 a.m. Troopers stopped Nolan on State Route 372 in Easton, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Nolan was arrested on charges for the above listed incident. During the stop an additional illegally possess unserialized loaded handgun was found in his vehicle and seized.

Nolan was transported to SP Greenwich for processing and then to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

The investigation into the source of the unserialized "ghost" guns seized during these incidents is ongoing.
