NCUA Board Meets This Week

The NCUA Board is set to consider a proposed rule to limit incentive-based compensation arrangements when it meets Thursday. The proposal, which was first introduced in 2011 and then modified in 2016, requires regulators to issue guidelines prohibiting incentive-based compensation arrangements that encourage inappropriate risks or could lead to material financial loss, and mandate financial institutions to disclose such arrangements to federal regulators.

Also on the agenda, the board will consider a rule on succession planning and the federal credit union loan interest rate ceiling.

The NCUA Board meeting is July 18 at 10 am.
