Chair Cardin Statement on Deaths of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, Ori Danino

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued a statement following the deaths of five hostages abducted by Hamas, including Hersh Goldberg-Polin.

"The news of Hersh Goldberg-Polin's murder, along with the murder of Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Ori Danino, is yet another devastating reminder of Hamas' terrorism and the innocent blood that permanently stains Hamas' hands," said Chair Cardin. "We mourn with Jon and Rachel, their daughters, and their loved ones. Their generosity of spirit and their steadfast commitment to securing the release of all hostages has inspired millions, and today we grieve with them as they face the unimaginable."
