Music, the universal language of peace, is one of the great arts and an outstanding feature of our culture.

WHEREAS, Music, the universal language of peace, is one of the great arts and an outstanding feature of our culture; and

WHEREAS, The National Federation of Music Clubs, having as a foremost objective the promotion of American music will stage its annual "Parade of American Music" throughout the month of November; and

WHEREAS, The Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club of the Federation of Music Clubs and the City of Fargo join in encouraging and stimulating interest in American music and the enjoyment and appreciation thereof; and

WHEREAS, The "Parade of American Music" is designed to give worthy United States composers recognition, encouragement and support, and impress upon the public that is has creative as well as performing musical artists and a musical culture equal to that of other countries.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Dr. Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim November 2024 to be

AMERICAN MUSIC MONTH

in the City of Fargo and encourage native creative musical art and urge all citizens to join in the observance and share the joy of music.
