Smith Gambrell Russell Welcomes Partner Edward Christian to Corporate and Global Transport Practices

ATLANTA (October 2, 2024) - Smith, Gambrell & Russell LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the arrival of Edward Christian, a Partner in the firm's Corporate Practice and member of the Global Transport Group in the firm's New York and Atlanta offices.

Mr. Christian focuses his practice on complex financing, investment fund, and M&A transactions, particularly within the rail, aviation, and broader transportation sectors. He also provides counsel on general corporate and bankruptcy matters, bringing extensive experience to both distressed and high-value transactions.

With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Christian has advised a broad spectrum of clients, including lenders, borrowers, investment funds, and portfolio companies. His expertise spans fund formation, portfolio management, and complex financings, as well as M&A, bankruptcy, and corporate restructuring. He has worked extensively in the Global Transport sector, representing key players in rail, aviation, and intermodal.

Prior to joining SGR, Mr. Christian was a Partner at Eversheds Sutherland. He graduated from the University of Southern California's Gould School of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Los Angeles. He previously served as a lieutenant and naval aviator in the United States Navy.
