VIDEO: CASTOR CALLS PROJECT 2025 INFLUENCE IN REPUBLICAN APPROPRIATION BILLS A ‘GIFT TO CHINA’

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14) urged the House to vote against two House Republican appropriations bills that will raise energy costs for Florida families, halt clean energy manufacturing, threaten our planet, pad the profits of Big Oil, and cede technological leadership to China, all at the expense of hardworking American families and small business owners.

"Mr. Speaker, I am alarmed that already the Republicans are pressing their radical Project 2025 agenda. It is apparent in these appropriations bills, so let's talk about a few of the policies in here. First, it's very important that we help our neighbors weatherize their homes. It helps save them on their electric bills; it creates jobs. We estimate that this Republican bill will now slam the door shut for about 54,000 working-class Americans who need those weatherization dollars," said Castor.

Castor continued, "The Republican bills proposed to gut energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives at a time when we are seeing a manufacturing renaissance across America, in less than two years, since the Democrats in Congress passed the Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act."

Project 2025 did not like Rep. Castor sharing the truth about MAGA Republicans' insidious plans to sell American families out to wealthy corporations and polluters.
