2024 Quad Leaders’ Summit

The 2024 Quad Leaders' Summit was held in Wilmington, Delaware on 21 September 2024, hosted by the United States. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese attended with fellow Quad Leaders, President of the United States Joseph R. Biden Jr., Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan.

The meeting underscored Australia's deep commitment to the future prosperity and stability of the Indo-Pacific. Through the Quad, Australia is working with three of our most important partners to shape the kind of region in which we want to live-an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

Leaders agreed to a range of new, practical outcomes, and highlighted progress made in key sectors to:

  • strengthen clean energy supply chains,
  • support maritime security,
  • train the region's infrastructure practitioners,
  • enhance regional health security, and
  • build resilience and connectivity through undersea cable cooperation.
