Derby, VT-Community National Bank (CNB) Wellness Committee members recently attended a conference held at the Doubletree in Burlington, VT. The Vermont Department of Health and the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports held this conference on World Mental Health Day for 129 businesses that have Worksite Wellness Committees.
CNB received a Gold Award for the 2024 Governor's Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award. Each year our committee completes a questionnaire that reports on health and wellness resources in place for our organization. To receive a Gold Award, organizations in our category must score at least 80% on the questionnaire and CNB scored 87.8%. This year there were 81 Gold winners, 40 Silver winners and eight Bronze winners.
The nine Wellness Committee members bring a lot of education and fun activities to the organization throughout the year. Some of CNB's wellness initiatives include step challenges, depression awareness and music therapy to name a few. Human Resources Coordinator Melissa Tinker stated, "Community National Bank has an outstanding Wellness Committee. Every member puts in time, enthusiasm and creativity into developing initiatives for our employees that provide opportunities to learn and promote good health!"
