Lane Closures in Both Directions of State Route 29 (SR-29) for Paving Operations in Napa County Starting on Friday, Oct. 18

Published: Oct 18, 2024

Schedule: Through Friday, Oct. 25 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Napa County - Caltrans has scheduled an extended single lane closure on both Northbound and Southbound State Route 29 (SR-29) between Soscol Creek Road to 5th Avenue Overcrossing (including Junction to State Route 221 to Napa Valley Corporate Way) for nightly overnight paving work from Friday, Oct. 18 to Friday Oct. 25 each day.

Crews will overlay final layers of asphalt to improve safety and provide a smooth ride for motorists. To ensure the safety of workers and motorists, a single lane reduction will be in place on both directions of SR-29.

Work will begin nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next mornings, reducing both directions of SR-29 to a single traffic lane. At least one traffic lane will remain open in each direction.

All work is weather dependent. Motorists are advised to allow extra time and expect delays.

Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state's highways, bridges, and tunnels.
