A Must-Read Article by Julie Kelly

Julie Kelly on how "special counsel" Jack Smith is continuing to press his J6 charges against Donald Trump despite the recent SCOTUS immunity decision gutting his already shaky case. As Kelly reports, Smith is planning an unprecedented move to dump a 180-page motion (the limit is normally 45 pages) full of accusations into the public record. This would normally never be allowed, but DC Judge Chutkan will, of course, allow it while keeping a gag order on Trump so he can't respond. This will drop this week for maximum election interference, which is all that these Trump prosecutions have ever been about.

And in case you've bought the horse manure about what a crack prosecutor Smith is, Kelly reminds us of his long history of bringing politically-motivated crackpot charges against prominent figures of both parties that get thrown out on appeal.

Here's just a small excerpt that deserves to be quoted far and wide:

"It is hard to think of anything more unfair not just to Trump but to the American people than a one-sided paper trial led by a known loser (Jack Smith) and presided over by an unrepentant judicial hack (Chutkan) during arguably the most consequential presidential election in history with one candidate unable to publicly respond.

Lady Justice weeps."

With the so-called "classified documents" trial against Trump paused for several months, and as we wait for a Supreme Court decision on the extent of presidential immunity, this seems like a good time to take a comprehensive look at Jack Smith's appointment as special counsel and whether it was even legitimate in the first place.

By the time you've read this, we may know whether or not Hunter will take the stand in his trial. Presumably, Abbe Lowell will earn his $1,000 an hour by pulling something else out of his hat to get jury sympathy. But not that.

Tuesday, Judge Juan Merchan's court in the trial of President Trump for allegedly "falsifying records" for payments to Michael Cohen is back in session, after the judge gave the jury a week off to go home and hear non-stop from Manhattan friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and social media contacts how much they hate Trump and how great it would be if he were in jail.
